During my recent stay at the Levant Hotel in Pelekas, Corfu, I found myself enchanted by its stunning location overlooking both the western cliffs and the azure expanse of the Ionian Sea. The room was spacious and boasted a lovely balcony where we indulged in the breathtaking sunrises each morning. Breakfast was a highlight, served on a delightful terrace with a wonderful selection of local delights, including traditional Moussaka and fresh olives - a true feast for the senses! What truly made our stay memorable was the warmth of the family-run atmosphere; the staff treated us like friends rather than just guests, always eager to share their insights on nearby historical sites. The swimming pool provided a perfect respite after our explorations, with the evening views from the upper terrace amplifying our appreciation of the island's natural beauty. For any history lovers out there, the nearby Church of Evagelistria, built in the 15th century, adds to the rich tapestry of Corfu's past.
